Our estate’s Grenache fruit originates in Block 8, along the Quail Canyon portion of our property. It was aged in 25% new French oak, and 75% in 1-year old French oak barrels. Our relatively non-aggressive use of oak in this instance has resulted in a wine that shows its fruit without hesitation. Look for unbridled notes of boysenberries, plums and cassis. There is a floral core to this wine that tends to be rose-like in its aromatic profile, and is very appealing.
